Admissions Process
The following is required before familes can be considered for admission:

HALF DAY: 8 am to 2:30 pm
FULL DAY: 8 am to 5:30 pm

LATE FEE
$30 – late fee pick up after 2:30pm and 5:30pm
$60 – every 15 minutes after 3:00pm and 6:00pm.

SUMMER PROGRAM
Full 7 Week Session (July 9th – August 24th) – $3500
July Session (July 9th – August 3rd) – $2000
August Session (August 6th – August 24th) – $1700
Weekly –  $600 per week

PARENT AND ME PROGRAM
> Saturdays at Carlton Way from 9:30am to 11:30am.
> Saturdays at Berendo from 9:30am to 11:30am.
> The sessions are offered in 7-week sessions to children 20 months and up.
> $400 for 7 weeks.
> All classes must be paid in advance.
> All immunizations required.

The following is required before families can be considered for admission:

Parents are invited to see a classroom in session and take a tour of our entire program. It includes time to speak with the admissions staff. School tours are Wednesdays from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Carlton Way and Tuesdays at Berendo from
9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. The tour is for Adults only. Parents should plan to remain for the entire tour.

PARENT AND ME SESSION

PARENT AND ME SESSION

Participation in PARENT AND ME program is required for all families being considered for admission. PARENT AND ME sessions are offered throughout the year, only one session of 7 classes is required for applicants.

Children must be 20 months old to participate in the PARENT AND ME program.

Montessori Shir-Hashirim seeks students who would thrive in our mixed-age environment, offering freedom of choice within limits, and supports the development of autonomy, intellectual curiosity, personal and social responsibilities. Families are expected to work with the school in a spirit of collaboration to support their children and the school’s mission.

Before attending PARENT AND ME sessions, observations at either campus must be done prior to enrollment.

A completed application plus a $200 non-refundable fee must be received by February 1st. In addition, we require all children to be fully immunized. Please include proof of immunization records with application.

To be considered for the new school year, students must be at least 24 months old by May 10th or 20 months old by January 10th. Students 3 years old must be toilet trained.

Current students are re-enrolled in January. New student enrollment begins in February.

At all other times in the school year, admissions are on a “rolling” basis only, with children being considered or accepted only as space becomes available.

In our effort to recreate the model educational setting foreseen in the philosophy of Doctor Montessori, with relatively even distribution of ages and genders, is critical to the success of the three-year developmental cycles into which students are grouped. The school therefore reserves the right to ultimately determine admission on the basis of age and gender.

A student is considered enrolled only after an advance tuition deposit and a contract has been signed and returned to the school. All other paperwork for matriculation must be complete by the designated dates.

2018-2019 ANNUAL TUITION AND OTHER FEES

APPLICATION FEE: $200 non-refundable, due with application. Applications will not be processed without the fee.
NEW STUDENT ENROLLMENT: $1500 one-time fee per child entering school.

TUITION 
8 AM – 2:30 PM: $16,500 per year / $1650 per month (September – June)

8 AM – 5:30 PM: $18,900 per year / $1890 per month (September – June)

Tuition must be paid on the 1st day of the month. 5% will be applied for late payments. Deposits are not refundable under any circumstances.
